This week (7/8/2009) at Bruno’s we will continue exploring
West Coast Swing!
Swing Springfield is an endeavor by dancers in Springfield, Missouri to create and strengthen the local social dance community. It is organized by Springfield’s own Anne and Andy Walls. Both Anne and Andy continue to train and compete regularly in many styles of dance, but swing is a first love for both of them. They have won multiple national and regional dance competitions and continually strive to learn more from the top professional dance instructors all across the nation so they keep growing as the best instructors in our area plus bring the best in social dancing to Springfield!
Come dancing with Anne and Andy every Wednesday night at Bruno’s Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar for our Swing and Salsa night! We meet on the second floor (in the wine bar) where we enjoy good food, good company, and most importantly, lots of dancing! If you are a new dancer, you are not alone! Come join us! We have plenty of single men and women that show up on a regular basis, so a partner is never required. We enjoy dancing to a wide variety of music for West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Single Time Swing, Jitterbug, Charleston, Lindy Hop, Hustle, and Salsa!
REMEMBER: The BEST night of dancing to the HOTTEST dance music in one of the COOLEST venues!!!

We offer a class that will introduce new people to basics and fundamental social dance technique at 7pm and we'll progress from there to more advanced patterns and techniques for the more experienced dancers. This way everyone has something to gain in class.
Your first time in class is FREE!! After that, class is only $8 ($5 for Swing Springfield Club Members)

Waltz Dance Class Series!

Dance With Me is doing a special series of classes at The Grande Ballroom! Starting July 6th at 7pm, we will cover the basics of social dancing the Waltz by looking at the fundamentals for leading and following social Waltzing, plus explore some fun variations building on those basics. We will look at various step patterns including bronze and silver patterns and techniques. This class will be great for dancers of all levels, so REGISTER TODAY!! Swingin' at Bruno's!

Bruno's Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar in downtown Springfield, MO offers FREE swing and salsa dancing every Wednesday night! This event is hosted by Swing Springfield, a local dance club, and is one of the first dance clubs to offer regular free dance events for downtown area patrons! You can support the club by attending a 7:00pm dance class at Bruno's every wednesday for only $8 per person, or FREE your first time! We start with basics in the style of dance we are teaching and progress to some patterns using our basics, then we end the class with some fun and more challenging patterns and techniques. Classes and dance area are in the wine bar upstairs and if you don't wish to partake in the classes, there will be a mix of salsa and swing music for your dancing and enjoyment in the main wine bar area. Classes take place in the semi-private room toward the back. Tips are appreciated and all styles of swing and salsa dancers are welcome!
