Swing Springfield is an endeavor by dancers in Springfield, Missouri to create and strengthen the local social dance community. It was first organized in 2005 by Springfield’s own Anne and Andy Walls. Both Anne and Andy continue to train and compete regularly in many styles of dance, but swing is a first love for both of them. They have won multiple national and regional awards and continually strive to learn more from the top professional dance instructors all across the nation. Anne and Andy work hard to maintain their reputation as the best swing dance instructors in our area plus bring the best in social dancing to Springfield!
Swing Springfield hosts a regular swing dance night at the Savoy Ballroom! Come join us! We have plenty of single men and women that show up on a regular basis, so a partner is never required. We enjoy dancing to a wide variety of music for West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Single Time Swing, Jitterbug, Charleston, Lindy Hop, Hustle, and more!

Swing Springfield has been hosting a Swing Dance Night since late summer 2005. We started with a free dance night every thursday that featured sushi and swing music at Traffic's Downtown Sushi Bar. That changed to wednesday nights by November, 2005. The wednesday swing night format continued as Swing Springfield continued the endeavor to get more people interested in swing dancing. By 2007, Traffic no longer had a sushi bar and we moved our swing night to Trolley's Level 2 bar where we continued to provide a fun night of swing dancing and music until late January, 2008. By 2008, we moved our swing night to a larger space, taking swing dancing to Bruno's 2nd floor wine bar. While here, by popular request, we began to include salsa music and dancing as well. Swing Springfield, as of September 16, 2010, officially hosting a night of swing music and dancing at the elegant Savoy Ballroom! The Savoy Ballroom is also home to ballroom, salsa, country, and tango dancing. Check out
